Our legal interventions are an important part of our anti-corruption work. A case in point is our court bid to challenge the South African Social Security Agency’s (Sassa) irregular R317-million payment to Cash Paymaster Services (CPS). In September the Supreme Court of Appeal upheld the North Gauteng High Court’s ruling that CPS must repay the entire sum plus interest.
It is outcomes such as these that give meaning to our work as an anti-corruption watchdog. However, we cannot let up! We have to continuously develop coherent long-term strategies that will benefit the public and also serve as a deterrent to perpetrators of corruption.
But we need your help in order to achieve this.
Your donation will enable us to continue fighting.
