SUMMARY:People’s Hearing on State Capture to take place on 12 October 2019
DESCRIPTION:The Civil Society Working Group on State Capture – a coalition of over twenty civil society organisations – is organising a People’s Hearing on State Capture scheduled to take place in Johannesburg on 12 October 2019.   \n\n\n\n The People’s Hearing on State Capture is intended to collect and provide evidence of the impact of state capture and corruption to the country’s law enforcement agencies and to the Zondo Commission.  \n\n\n\n We call on all South Africans to contribute to the Peoples Hearing on State Capture by posting videos\, pictures and messages on their social media platforms under the hashtag – #DearJudgeZondo – about the impact of state capture on their lives\, and in their communities\, and what they feel needs to be done to address this. These videos will be presented together with documentary evidence\, film and activists’ testimonies reflecting on the impact of state capture at 10.00am on 12 October 2019 at the Women’s Jail Atrium\, Constitutional Hill\, Braamfontein\, Johannesburg.   \n\n\n\n The People’s Hearing will be open to the public\, with limited seating available.
