The official rankings for the 2025 Loeries have been announced, and Corruption Watch (CW) sits pretty in impressive spots in two categories.

Moira Campbell, CW’s head of communications, is ranked fourth in the Director/Chief Marketing Officer category, while the organisation itself is ranked fifth in the brand category. Both rankings are in respect of the Africa and the Middle East category.

“The Loeries Official Rankings offer a comprehensive overview of the annual performance across the brand communications industry throughout Africa and the Middle East, the rankings document reads. “The Loeries, a non-profit company, is Africa and the Middle East’s premiere initiative that recognises, rewards, inspires and fosters creative excellence in the brand communication industry.”

CW is no stranger to the Loeries. Some of the creative products of the organisation that have been featured in the past include three awards in the gold category won by design agency and creative partner Avatar for radio adverts produced in 2025. Avatar’s Veli Ngubane shared his agency’s thanks with CW at the time, noting that recognition like the Loeries happens when organisations support and believe the creative ideas of their partners.

In 2021, CW’s annual report titled From Crisis to Action, was also submitted by the agency that designed it, Agent Orange. The report was shortlisted in the annual report category.

Said Campbell of the fusing of creative thinking with activism and the social justice agenda: “The best part of leading communications at CW is partnering with brilliant creative minds to create campaigns that hit hard.”

“We’ve always pushed ourselves to find fresh, bold ways to show that corruption isn’t abstract—it touches everyone, and its impact is devastating. As an NGO with limited budget but outsized ambition, we’ve been lucky to work with people who truly get what we stand for and turn that into work that cuts through the noise.”
