We invite members of the media to join a webinar on Tuesday, 29 August 2023, launching a report highlighting corporate corruption in South Africa.

Hosted in partnership by the National Business Initiative (NBI), Corruption Watch, and ODI, an independent global affairs think tank, the report documents research conducted by the three organisations that provides insight into the social behaviours of corporate entities and the measures taken to address such misconduct, with a particular focus on the EOH case.

Tech solutions multinational company EOH was one of several entities implicated by the judicial inquiry into state capture, led by Chief Justice Raymond Zondo. Seeking to renew itself under a recently appointed leadership, EOH willingly participated in this research as a case study for addressing corporate corruption in South Africa.

The panel for this event will be facilitated by Rob Rose: editor of the Financial Mail and author of the acclaimed book, Steinheist.

Rob Rose will be joined by leading panelists:

  • Stephen Gelb: senior research associate at ODI and lead author of the report – Addressing Corporate Corruption in South Africa: The EOH Experience.
  • Stephen van Coller: CEO of EOH.

Prominent members of the business community in South Africa will also be present to discuss the findings of the report and provide commentary on recommendations.

The webinar, which will unpack more details from the report, will take place as follows:

  • Date: Tuesday, 29 August 2023
  • Time: 10h30 to 12h00 (SAST)

Kindly respond by Monday, 28 August 2023.
