Over 9 million primary and secondary school children in South Africa get the only meals that sustain them at school.
Corruption Watch has received corruption reports about disappearing funds for their school feeding schemes.
Corruption Watch runs a campaign that aims to raise awareness about schools corruption and tender fraud within the school nutrition programme.
We also train school governing bodies how to be aware of and uncover potential corruption mechanisms at their schools.
Our work is important
In the video Lethabo is an actor that we hired to tell the story about corruption at schools. The story and facts presented in this video are true and are based on corruption reports submitted to Corruption Watch. The actor’s parents are fully aware of the nature of the fundraising video and also needed to provide written consent to us for the production of this video.
